my experience.

I am an Assistant Director for the University of Tennessee’s Tickle College of Engineering with over twelve years of communications and marketing experience. In previous roles, I worked as Digital Marketing Specialist and a Promotions and Marketing Specialist within the media industry.

In my professional work experience, I have been responsible for web design, print design, and strategic content planning for a major college, its administrative units and departments, and up to 13 radio stations. I currently lead our college’s digital efforts and team. In previous work experience, I have led a street team of up to nine people.

Job Duties

  • Provides creative leadership and direction on and executes large-scale, high profile, high-impact, high-scope projects and campaigns including our recruitment campaigns, portfolio of 25+ websites, biannual digital alumni magazine and annual report, select print alumni magazines, and a variety of print and digital collateral for student retention efforts and major college events.
  • Works with interdepartmental team towards the planning and development of communication and marketing strategies, especially for student recruitment and the college’s overarching content strategy.
  • Sets strategy and best practices for strategic digital communications platforms of the college and all departments based on data analysis.
  • Supervises digital staff members and provides work direction for them as project lead.

  • Design digital media for the University of Tennessee’s Tickle College of Engineering and its several departments and administrative units.
  • Create a content plan, schedule, and design html email templates for college’s various email marketing campaigns.

  • Confer with deans, department heads, and unit directors concerning their web presence, articles, and print materials that represent both the college and university’s core brands.

  • Design digital media content and graphics for thirteen of Midwest Communications radio websites.
  • Design, schedule, and send e-mail marketing materials for participating radio stations.
  • Confer with department heads and staff to discuss topics such as the proper remote set-up, design of our websites, video production, and the performance of employees I supervise.

Promotions & Marketing Specialist

South Central Media

Job Duties

  • Manage the planning, setup, and execution of special events.
  • Design graphics and write articles for the South Central Media Knoxville radio websites—WVRX and WIMZ.
  • Design schedule, and send e-mail marketing materials for the following radio stations: WIMZ and WVRX.
  • Train and manage nine promotions assistants while confering with department heads to monitor and provide feedback on their performance.
